Tier II Nationally Bound Teams

The growth of Girls hockey in Southern California has been impressive.  Our program has witnessed this growth and are proud to be able to offer 14U - 19U Tier II for our student-athletes.

Connor Jordan

19U AA Head Coach

Connor’s background in coaching and playing at the Tier I and Tier II levels over the past 20 years helped develop his positive and upbeat coaching philosophy where each player will be constantly pushed to reach their full potential. Team chalk talks, video review, team building and a commitment to a comprehensive coaching mindset have been Connor’s mindset since his humble beginnings.

Originally from San Jose, in Northern California. He grew up playing hockey in the Jr Sharks organization at the Tier I and Tier II levels from 12u - 16U age levels. Upon ending his youth play, he started coaching at the grassroots level as a junior coach in 2008 at Sharks Ice; joined the San Jose Jr Sharks organization at the age of 19 and was moved to the 12u and 14u levels as an assistant and later head coach from 2011 to 2016. Connor was privileged to coach two Quebec International 12U teams.

After completing his BA from  San Jose State University, (Sociology) in 2015 Connor moved to Boise, Idaho in 2017, and head coached the Mountain View Mavericks Varsity hockey team for a few seasons before moving to Southern California.

Connor, “discovered and recommended” by our very own Coach Kurtz, has spent the last several years focused on developing players both on and off the ice and fostering a strong and competitive team environment. Connor looks forward to joining the Lady Ducks organization this upcoming season and the feeling is mutual!

Chase Reddin

16U AA Head Coach

Chase is in his second year coaching with the Lady Ducks program and after coaching high school hockey and 12AA Lady Ducks he is going to take our 16AA team for the 2022-23 season.   A So Cal native, Chase was a Tier I athlete growing up,  played junior hockey in Canada and has been coaching since finishing his hockey career.

Chase is a skills and stickhandling elite instructor.  Puck control and possession skills are a focus for his teams and he works hard to bring that to every team he has worked with.  After completing his BS from Cal Poly Pomona in computer science, Chase is excited to use his knowledge of Tech and love of hockey to help bring these two together and give players more tools for success. “I’m very passionate about hockey, technology, and learning how sports and technology are becoming more intertwined than ever.”

Chase is known for his positive coaching style and bringing out the best in his athletes while developing their individual skills to work toward TEAM goals.  We love Chase’s talents in this key area and he looks forward to bringing the 16AA team back to USAHockey nationals for a 3rd straight year!

Vince Valles

14UAA Head Coach

Over the past 20 years, Vince has played, coached and been involved in every aspect of hockey development in Southern California, including with the Lady Ducks the past two seasons. Vince has worked with players age 5 through Bantam AAA and also at the high school level since 2010.  Vince is a USA Hockey Certified Level 4 coach and hockey director.

Vince has worked with dozens of Lady Ducks on skill development and through summer hockey camps for years.  He was excited to finally come to work with our teams on a full-time basis in 2020!  He brings a positive coaching outlook, corrective instruction, and a competitive atmosphere for all players at this level, working to improve their game and team concepts.

Zealin Cronk

12UAA Head Coach

We are excited that coach Zealin is returning to the LD program for his 3rd season.  Zealin’s extensive hockey background as a player and coach along with taking the 16AA team to nationals in back-to-back years have shown his tremendous value to the LD program.

Z grew up in Huntington Beach and played for the Jr Ducks from the mite level on up.  Having an advanced grasp of the game even as a mite player, Z started coaching at camps and helping as a junior coach with teams by the time he was 12.  After playing prep, then Junior hockey in Massachusetts injuries sidelined him. The obvious step was to move into coaching which led Zealin to mentor in the Rinks and jr. Ducks programs where he quickly became coordinator of youth hockey at Westminster ICE and head of the Beckman Area high school program.

Zealin coached with the Jr. Ducks for 6 years and worked with various Lady Ducks players already for training which was a major reason he felt transitioning to the girls program in 2020 was the next step. He has helped to build confidence, teamwork and skill/strategy growth, making him a great fit for the 12AA level.
